Ingredients

Base ice
  • 1 Ice cubes
Red layer
  • 0.25 cup Grenadine syrup
Middle layer
  • 0.5 cup Lemonade, chilled
Top layer
  • 0.25 cup Blue raspberry sports drink or blue raspberry lemonade, chilled
Garnish
  • 1 Maraschino cherries and striped straws for garnish

Method

Build the layers
  1. Fill a tall clear glass with ice cubes almost to the top to create a stable base; keep the glass cold and ready for layering.
  2. Pour grenadine syrup slowly over the ice so it sinks to the bottom as the first layer, aiming for an even red pool.
  3. Gently pour chilled lemonade over the back of a spoon held just above the ice to form a clean middle layer; move slowly to prevent mixing.
  4. Pour the blue raspberry drink over the spoon in the same way to float it as the top layer, stopping once the blue layer reaches the desired height.
Finish & serve
  1. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and a striped straw, then serve immediately.
  2. Do not stir, so the three colors stay distinctly layered in the clear glass.

Notes

For the sharpest layer lines, chill the lemonade and blue raspberry drink well before you start, and keep the spoon held just above the surface while pouring. Assemble right before serving so the layers stay crisp; store leftovers in the fridge up to 24 hours, but separation will lessen (freezing is not recommended). Dietary swap: use sugar-free grenadine and sugar-free lemonade for a lower-sugar version if desired.
